Describes excavations conducted from 1962 to 1964 of three shell middens in the Ocala National Forest, Florida. Middens no. 1 and no. 2 are located within the Bowers Bluff Archaeological Area; midden no. 3 is more commonly known as the Kimball Island Midden.
